How to Install and Set Up Outlook on Mobile Devices (iOS and Android)
Microsoft Outlook is a powerful email client that allows you to manage your email, calendar, and contacts in one place. This guide will walk you through the steps to install and set up Outlook on your iOS or Android device.
For iOS Devices
Step 1: Install Outlook
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
- In the search bar, type Outlook and tap Search.
- Locate the Microsoft Outlook app in the search results and tap Get.
- If prompted, enter your Apple ID password or use Face ID/Touch ID to confirm the download.
- Once the app is downloaded, tap Open.
Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account
- Open the Outlook app.
- Tap Get Started.
- Enter your email address and tap Add Account.
- Enter your password and tap Sign In.
- If you have a work or school account, you might be redirected to your organization’s login page. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
- If prompted, enable Notifications to stay updated with new emails and calendar events.
- Outlook will now configure your email account. Once completed, you will be taken to your inbox.
Step 3: Customize Your Settings
- Tap the Profile icon (top left corner).
- Tap the Settings gear icon at the bottom left.
- Here, you can customize various settings, such as Notifications, Swipe Options, Focused Inbox, and more.
For Android Devices
Step 1: Install Outlook
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Tap the Search bar at the top of the screen.
- Type Outlook and tap the Search icon.
- Locate the Microsoft Outlook app in the search results and tap Install.
- Once the app is installed, tap Open.
Step 2: Set Up Your Email Account
- Open the Outlook app.
- Tap Get Started.
- Enter your email address and tap Continue.
- Enter your password and tap Sign In.
- If you have a work or school account, you might be redirected to your organization’s login page. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
